Pigeon House, installed in a 2-story cottage, explores regeneration and takes its inspiration from the myth of the phoenix. This installation was made during a residency at Yaddo and was influenced by Yaddo’s history of loss and rebirth. The wooden house on the first floor represents a fragile body grounded in the earth. The projected image of a pigeon on the second floor acted as a metaphor for the phoenix or for the life spirit of a human.
